Ballot Measure Specific Language
Read the official text and find out how every dollar is strictly guarded for Fairfield.
To provide and protect funding for Fairfield’s services, such as police, fire, 911 emergency response, neighborhood safety, street and sidewalk repair, homelessness prevention and response, and general governmental use, shall an ordinance be adopted to extend the City’s sales tax and increase the rate by up to one-cent per dollar until ended voters, adding approximately $24 million annually, with independent citizen oversight, annual audits, public spending reports, and all funds locally controlled?
Built in protections for taxpayers
100% Local Control
By law, every penny raised by Measure P stays in Fairfield. The State of California cannot take a single cent of this funding to spend elsewhere.
Independent Citizen Oversight
Measure P requires independent citizens oversight, mandatory financial audits, and yearly reports to the community to ensure the funds are spent as promised.
Mandatory Annual Audits
Independent financial professionals will perform strict annual audits to ensure full compliance and public transparency.
